Weather in Peru
Peru is situated in the southern hemisphere, thus the seasons are opposite to those of North America and Europe. Temperatures range from 25 degrees to 30 degrees in the hot and humid jungle. In the mountain areas the days may be cool and changeable with the warmest days averaging 22 degrees. The nights are usually cold in the mountains. In the capital, Lima, rain is infrequent and it is seldom too hot. Rainy season is between the summer months of December to April.
CLOTHING: light weight clothing for example long sleeved shirts and cotton skirts or trousers. Comfortable walking shoes would be an advantage. Rainwear is necessary for the jungle and also during the rainy season.
